High-Level Overview
• Client is modernizing their data platform into data products using a Data Mesh architecture.
• Architecture was designed in 2025 by Analytics8; Client is now in the implementation phase.
• Need 3 additional senior/lead contractors (QCI placed 1 already).
• Contract starts at 6 months, with expectation of a multi-year effort.

What They're Doing
• Migrating out of a traditional EDW into Data Mesh.
• Breaking large, monolithic data models into smaller, modular data products.
• Implementing a modern ELT approach using DBT + Snowflake.
• Explicitly NOT Informatica and not traditional ETL.

MUST-HAVE Technical Skills (Non-Negotiable)
?
Only senior / lead-level talent
• Snowflake (strong hands-on experience)
• DBT (real, production-level experience)
• Advanced SQL
• Complex transformations
• Stored procedures
• Data profiling & analysis
• Data modeling
• Facts & dimensions
• Curating and transforming data
• Ability to work end-to-end through raw ? staging ? modeled layers
? DBT is
not drag-and-drop.
? Candidates must be
very strong in SQL and data analysis.

? Informatica-heavy backgrounds
? Drag-and-drop ETL engineers
? "Data factory" / volume-based profiles
? Junior or mid-level engineers
