The Role

We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer who cares deeply about reliability, performance and scalability to help build and scale our communication product while leveraging AI/LLM.

This role is for an engineer who enjoys working across backend systems, data pipelines, and user-facing features - and who is excited about building production-grade AI workflows into real products. You’ll own features end-to-end, from system design and APIs to AI integrations and product surfaces.

As an early member of the engineering team, you’ll have real ownership and influence: shaping architecture, defining standards, and building systems that carriers, brokers, and employers rely on every day.

What You’ll Do

Own backend and data-heavy systems

Design scalable services, data models, and pipelines that support accuracy, performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability of our communication product.

Develop AI-native workflows

Build and integrate AI and LLM-powered workflows into our communication product on the frontend UI and backend API.

Build end-to-end product systems

Design, implement, and ship features across backend services, APIs, data layers, and frontend integrations that power Pasito’s communication product.

Collaborate cross-functionally

Work closely with Product, Design, Sales, and Client teams to understand customer workflows and translate them into durable technical solutions.

Continuously improve systems

Refine existing architecture, reduce operational complexity, and help define what “great” looks like as the platform scales.

Who You Are

• A full stack engineer with 3+ years of experience building complex web applications

• Experience building and operating backend for communication or campaign products that send messages at large scale with at least one channel (Email, SMS, Push Notifications, Slack, etc.)

• Experienced integrating AI / LLM-powered systems into real products

• Curious, adaptable, and energized by working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

• A collaborative partner to product managers, designers, and other engineers

Experience We’re Excited About

• Strong experience with TypeScript across frontend and backend (Node.js)

• Experience with relational databases (we use MySQL) and an understanding of data modeling for multi-tenant or high-throughput systems

• Experience building and operating backend services, APIs, and data pipelines

• Hands-on experience working with AI / LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) in production systems

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js

• Experience with testing, observability, and maintaining production systems

• Experience integrating with third-party systems or complex data sources
