## Role Overview
Fimple is hiring a **Full Stack Developer** or **Backend Developer** to help build and maintain **high-performance, scalable applications** for next-generation digital banking experiences. This is a **fully remote** role in an international, fast-paced product environment.
## Responsibilities
- Collaborate with **product managers, architects, and development teams** to ideate and design solutions
- Develop **client-side and server-side architecture** for scalable and secure applications
- Build **responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces**
- Create and maintain **databases, backend services, and APIs**
- Ensure **performance, reliability, and security** of applications
- Troubleshoot, debug, and continuously improve existing systems
- Run **automated and manual tests** to ensure product quality
- Implement **security and data protection** best practices across development layers
- Follow **mobile-responsive design** approaches
- Write **clear, maintainable technical documentation**
- Partner with **data teams** to optimize data workflows and improve platform intelligence
## Requirements
- **2+ years** of professional experience as a **Full Stack** or **Backend-focused** developer
- Banking/financial services experience in at least one area: **Credits, Accounting, Core Banking, Transfers (SWIFT/EFT/SEPA), Treasury, or Financial Analysis**
- Bachelor’s degree in **Computer Science**, **Software Engineering**, or related field
- Strong frontend fundamentals: **HTML, CSS, JavaScript**
- Experience with modern JS frameworks: **React, Angular, or Vue**
- Proficiency with server-side languages/frameworks: **.NET, Java, Node.js, or Python**
- Familiarity with databases: **MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB**
- Understanding of **RESTful API design** and integration patterns
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote setting
## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience integrating with financial systems and domain-specific banking workflows (implied by domain requirement)
