Remote Senior Frontend Architect

Our client, a rapidly growing SaaS company based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US , is seeking an accomplished Senior Frontend Architect to lead the design and implementation of their next-generation user interfaces. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to shape the user experience for a global customer base, working with cutting-edge technologies and a collaborative team. You will be responsible for defining the frontend architecture, establishing best practices, and mentoring a team of talented frontend developers. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of modern frontend frameworks, performance optimization, and scalable UI design.

Key responsibilities include architecting robust, reusable, and maintainable frontend solutions, selecting appropriate technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular), and establishing coding standards and review processes. You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend engineers to translate complex requirements into intuitive and high-performing user interfaces. Experience with state management libraries, build tools, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines is crucial. You will also focus on optimizing frontend performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical debt, driving innovation, and mentoring junior developers. A strong grasp of web performance metrics and strategies for continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Minimum of 8 years of experience in frontend development, with at least 3 years in an architectural or lead role. Proven experience designing and implementing complex, large-scale frontend applications. Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks. Strong understanding of responsive design, performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and SEO best practices. Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
