Responsibilities
• Development & Implementation: You lead the conception, development, and implementation of new, complex features for our website and other business processes. This ranges from architectural design in the backend (Node.js) to leading the implementation in the frontend (Vue.js), setting and executing technical guidelines
• API Design: You are primarily responsible for the design, standardization, and implementation of robust, highly scalable, and future-proof APIs. These serve as the central communication interface for our website and CRM, as well as for connecting partner systems
• Code Quality & Testing: You establish and monitor high standards for code quality, maintainability, and test coverage (unit & integration tests) within the team. This includes defining code conventions, conducting code reviews, and mentoring other developers for continuous improvement of development quality
• Infrastructure & Deployment: You proactively help shape the architecture of our CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure. This involves optimizing and further developing our environments using technologies like Docker, Heroku, and MongoDB to ensure efficient, reliable, and automated deployment
• Team Collaboration: You are part of the interdisciplinary development team and work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and other stakeholders. You are responsible for the technical analysis of requirements and translating them into outstanding, feasible technical solutions
• Technological Vision & Innovation: You proactively identify new technologies, architectures, and best practices and drive their evaluation and introduction. Your goal is to continuously improve our platform, future-proof it, and achieve a strategic advantage through technological excellence

Skills
• Several years of practical experience in full-stack development, ideally in an agile startup environment as a Lead or most experienced developer on a team
• Profound knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript for backend development (we use Nest.js for our backend services)
• Proficiency with Vue.js or another modern JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Angular)
• Experience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB
• Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and deployment platforms (Heroku)
• Understanding of how technology contributes to business goals and can integrate technology, user needs, and business objectives into decisions
• Good understanding of modern software architecture, API design, and best practices in web development
• Proactive, solution-oriented work approach and the ability to quickly grasp new topics
• Team player with excellent communication skills who can communicate complex matters to both technical and non-technical colleagues
• Enthusiasm for clean code, technology, and innovative products in the climate tech sector
• Experience in website, lead funnel, conversion optimization, and collaboration with Sales and Marketing implementations
• Confident use of AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini) to increase productivity and code quality
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• A valid EU work visa
• Experience with Low- and No-Code tools
• German language skills
