About Temeritee Corp

Temeritee is an AI contract software engineering firm. We build Flutter web and mobile apps for early-stage startups and founder-led companies, teams who care about shipping real software, not generating slides. Our clients hire us because we integrate like an in-house team: we care about their product, we solve problems for their customers, and we ship code that works well.

We are a small, experienced, remote-first team. No politics. No sprawling process. We heavily use AI and agentic coding, but we also know how to code without AI.

The Role

This is a 16-hours-per-week, part-time W-2 position. We say that upfront as an upside of the role. The right candidate recognizes and values that they’ll have 24 other hours to spend as they’d like. If that's you, keep reading.

As Senior Flutter Software Engineer, you are the technical anchor of our client projects. You write production Flutter code every day, set the engineering tone for the team, and serve as the primary technical voice with clients. There are no direct reports, though you will mentor a small group of experienced engineers through code review and collaboration.

What You'll Do

Engineering
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable Flutter web apps using Dart.
• Build and integrate Firebase/GCP backends — Firestore, Auth, Cloud Functions, Remote Config.
• Apply responsible agentic coding practices; you are fluent with tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code and you put your name behind whatever they generate.
• Uphold strong security and privacy standards across Firebase and Flutter projects.
• Write clean, well-tested code and maintain a standard of craft that lifts everyone around you.

Technical leadership
• Maintain coding standards across active client projects.
• Conduct thorough, constructive code reviews.
• Mentor teammates, share knowledge proactively, and raise the team's technical floor.
• Stay current with industry movement and introduce improvements to tools and workflows where it meaningfully matters.

Quality and Testing
• Champion a culture a quality, testing, and craft.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes across projects.

Client and Project Collaboration
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients. Help them translate their vision into clear requirements and keeping them well-informed without overwhelming them.
• Participate in estimation, track progress against timelines, and surface risks early rather than at deadline.
• Contribute to technical documentation that actually helps your clients and teammates.
• Respond to production incidents as they arise. This is an engineering role at a live-service company; owning the occasional hard moment is part of the job.

Requirements
• Flutter expertise: 3+ years of professional Flutter development, with web projects strongly preferred. You know the framework deeply – widgets, layouts, state management, routing, rendering, performance, security, etc.
• Firebase/GCP: Solid, hands-on production experience with Firebase and GCP.
• Security mindset: Comfortable securing Flutter web and Firebase applications. You don't treat auth rules as an afterthought, for example.
• Technical leadership: You have guided other engineers through code reviews, architecture decisions, or mentorship. People management is not required, but the ability to make teammates better is.
• Agentic and AI fluency: You know how to code manually but you also use AI development tools daily and know how to leverage them while being proud of the code you ship.
• Communication: Our clients hire Temeritee because we are professionals, the code and in how we interact with people. Strong written and verbal communication is a must.
• Availability: Flexible schedule, with reliable availability for client and partner meetings during Pacific time business hours.
• Location: Washington State strongly preferred. Remote candidates in other US states may be considered; international candidates are not being considered at this time.

Compensation

$1,600 twice a month depending on experience, based on an expected 16-hour week. Final compensation may be determined by work location.

Benefits and Perks

Healthcare reimbursement

Temeritee can offer a healthcare reimbursement through Washington Healthplanfinder (WA State Exchange) via a Qualified Small Employer HRA (QSEHRA) for qualified candidates residing in WA state. We reimburse up to $300/month toward your individual health insurance premium. You choose your own plan; we cover a meaningful portion of the cost. Reimbursement is tax-free when you maintain qualifying coverage.

Time off
• 4 paid days off per year (this is a part-time position).
• 8 paid holidays.
• Unlimited unpaid time off with manager approval.

Perks
• Code! Do what you love, Temeritee engineers spend nearly all their time writing and shipping code.
• Annual holiday celebration and periodic ship parties, typically held in the greater Seattle area or the San Francisco Bay Area
• Free Spotify Premium membership
• Flexibility Flexible work location in WA state and work hours. We come together in person occasionally for planning sessions and ship parties, typically once or twice a year in the greater Seattle area.

The Honest Part

At Temeritee, we believe in transparency and open communication. While we currently have a client providing hours, as a small company, we cannot guarantee consistent hours if we do not have active clients or they do not having the funding. We will always be transparent if we anticipate a reduction in hours. Employment may end with the conclusion of a client contract. Conversely, if clients need us more, there could be opportunities for more work - although that isn’t expected for this part-time role.

Equal Opportunity

Temeritee Corp is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
