They are looking for a genuine SAP S/4HANA developer with strong ECC-to-S/4 remediation, RAP, CDS, Fiori, and verified real project experience with correct.

Must have real hands-on SAP S/4HANA project experience, not just ECC or theoretical exposure

Strong experience in ECC to S/4 custom object remediation is the primary requirement

Hands-on development experience with RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) is mandatory

Solid expertise in CDS Views and AMDP with real database pushdown implementations

Experience in SAP Fiori and OData with clear understanding of end-to-end integration

SAP BTP and Integration Suite experience must be real and only post-2021 timelines are valid

All client experience mentioned in the resume must be accurate and verifiable as SAP clients

Timelines must be realistic, with no Fiori experience before 2016 and no BTP before 2021

Experience in Aerospace and Defense or other highly regulated industries.

Role Overview

We are seeking multiple experienced SAP S/4HANA Developers to support a large-scale, multi-release SAP transformation program for a leading Aerospace & Defense (A&D) enterprise. This initiative represents the

third major release in an ongoing migration from SAP ECC and complex legacy ecosystems to S/4HANA, led by a global systems integrator.

The program spans Finance, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Manufacturing, and Supply Chain Management (SCM) and operates within a highly customized A&D landscape that includes COTS applications, custom engineering systems, billing platforms, and FAR/DFAR-compliant processes.

Many legacy solutions will not be replaced by S/4HANA and must instead be re-engineered to integrate cleanly with S/4 using SAP BTP and modern extensibility patterns. This role is ideal for developers who have already lived through large-scale ECC-to-S/4 transformations and understand both the technical and architectural tradeoffs involved.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and enhance custom SAP S/4HANA solutions across FIN, P2P, MFG, and SCM domains

Lead or contribute to custom code remediation, rationalization, and redevelopment from ECC to S/4

Develop modern S/4 extensions using

ABAP OO

RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model)

CDS Views (Analytical and Interface Views)

SAP Fiori (Elements and freestyle UI5 as needed)

Re-engineer and integrate non-SAP and COTS systems via

SAP BTP

Integration Suite

APIs and event-driven patterns where applicable

Support modernization of legacy custom objects into

S/4 embedded extensions

BTP-based side-by-side extensions

Collaborate with functional, integration, and architecture teams to align technical design with A&D compliance requirements (FAR/DFAR, auditability, traceability)

Participate in release planning, technical design reviews, testing support, and deployment activities across a multi-year roadmap

Required Qualifications

11+ years of SAP development experience, including hands-on S/4HANA project delivery

Proven experience on large-scale ECC to S/4HANA transformation programs (multiple releases strongly preferred)

Strong expertise in

ABAP Objects

RAP

CDS Views

SAP Fiori (Elements and UI5)

Experience integrating complex legacy and third-party systems with S/4 via SAP BTP

Solid understanding of custom code adaptation strategies (simplification item impacts, SPAM, CVI, etc.)

Experience Working In A&D Or Other Highly Regulated Industries

Ability to work independently in a distributed, remote team environment

U.S. Citizen

Prior A&D client experience with FAR / DFAR-driven processes

Exposure to

SAP Integration Suite

Event-based integration patterns

Clean Core principles

Experience supporting long-running transformation programs with evolving architecture standards

Familiarity with DevOps, transport automation, and modern SAP delivery models
