[Remote] Advanced Cyber Security Architect/Engineer

The role of Network Security Engineer involves overseeing perimeter security technologies, identifying potential risks, and ensuring seamless service delivery across interconnected infrastructure. Responsibilities • Performing the installation and configuration of hardware/software, the management of IT infrastructure projects and components, and the monitoring and support of these services (including all operational processes, procedures and diagrams) • Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve the infrastructure and documenting all activities • Daily interaction with customers and other IT personnel • Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotation Skills • 3 years direct experience in Information Technology • 3 years firewall, proxy and network operations/installation experience • 1 years datacenter firewall design/deployment experience • 1 years experience with enterprise public (Azure / AWS) or Private (NSX) cloud platforms • Experience with Zscaler and/or Zero-Trust solutions • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or another related field • Educational background with a focus on Technology or IT desirable • Enterprise datacenter firewall, proxy and network operations skills • TCP/IP troubleshooting • Experienced in developing and incorporating security into network designs and leading POC/pilots for emerging technology • Strong communication skills to work with a collaborative cross-functional team of peers and departments within the company • Experience with programming / scripting (i.e. PowerShell, Bash, VB, C#, Ruby, Python, Terraform) is very beneficial • Expert troubleshooting skills - able to combine big-picture thinking with tactical directions • Familiar with the Purdue PCN modular architecture • Basic troubleshooting skills on Linux and Windows • Basic knowledge of server/desktop/laptop, hardware/software installation, troubleshooting and repair • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills • Working under pressure and adapting to a rapidly changing environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • A sense of urgency, in a crisis situation • Knowledge and experience in monitoring tools and reports, general Windows Active Directory or LDAP experience, stored procedures and database queries/reporting and backup/recovery technology is a plus Benefits • Employer-subsidized Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance • Short-Term and Long-Term Disability • 401(k) match • Flexible Spending Accounts • Health Savings Accounts • EAP • Educational Assistance • Parental Leave • Paid Time Off (for vacation, personal business, sick time, and parental leave) • 12 Paid Holidays Company Overview • Honeywell is a technology and manufacturing company that produces products for the automation, aviation, and energy transition industries.
