We take the problem of food supply-availability and quality off restaurant owners, so that they can focus on serving their customers. As the Head of Communications at Vendease, you will be a key driver in shaping our brand image and expanding our market presence.
You will lead the communications strategy and execution, leveraging your expertise in digital marketing, content creation, communication, PR, and media relations to strengthen our brand and engage our target audience.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing integrated marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, engage our audiences, and drive business growth.
You will report directly to the VP, Marketing and Communications, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and impactful messaging across digital and non-digital platforms.
The Head of Communication at Vendease should have a deep understanding of our primary B2B audience, including their pain points, needs, and aspirations. You will be expected to engage this audience effectively through both digital and non-digital assets, tailoring messages to resonate with their specific interests and challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Positioning & Reputation: Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to strengthen Vendease's brand positioning and reputation in the food-tech sector.
Communication Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with Vendease's business objectives and brand identity.
Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing efforts, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media campaigns, to drive brand awareness and user engagement.
Content Creation: Oversee the creation of compelling and relevant content across various channels, including blog posts, articles, videos, and social media, to effectively convey our brand message and engage our audience.
Public Relations: Build and nurture relationships with media outlets, influencers, and industry leaders. Proactively seek opportunities for media coverage and coordinate press releases and media appearances.
Media Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, interview requests, and crisis communications. Manage media partnerships and placements.
Internal Communication: Ensure consistent and effective internal communication practices, keeping employees informed and engaged in the company’s mission and initiatives.
Crisis Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans and act as a spokesperson when necessary, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
Brand Management: Ensure the consistency and integrity of our brand across all coordination channels, both internally and externally.
Brand Assets: Oversee the creation of high-quality digital and non-digital assets, including videos, infographics, press releases, whitepapers, and presentations.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of communication professionals, fostering their growth and development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (Master's preferred).
A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior communications role, with at least three years in a leadership capacity.  
Proven track record in B2B communication, including experience in related industry (preferred).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft persuasive messages for diverse audiences.
Strong understanding of digital communication channels, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems.
Proficiency in marketing and communication technologies and tools.
Ability to think strategically, lead a team, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Creative thinker with a data-driven mindset, capable of adapting strategies based on performance analytics.
